If you are or have been involved in education in any way - as a parent, pupil, teacher, head, lecturer, adviser, officer, consultant, …. - or are working with or for a school, an LEA, a college or university, …., then the NLPednet will be of interest to you.

The NLP Education Network has been set up to help and support people who :

• are interested or working in and/or for education
• are applying their knowledge and skills of NLP
• want to enhance their work and increase the impact they are making by pulling together their personal and professional resources - their knowledge and skills, their beliefs and values - with those of other like-minded people.

We are a growing community of networkers and the following represents some of our starting points :

ENERGISING AND PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT: - to anyone who is interested and especially to those who are working ‘in isolation’. This is being done through :

• having a directory - of people, activities, etc
• enabling/arranging direct, personal contacts - eg meetings, telephone discussions, …
• documentation - newsletters/journals/briefings, collections of materials, resources, …
• an Internet Web Site … providing bulletin boards, discussion groups, links to …, information on …

PROVIDING RESOURCES AND SOLUTIONS: a means of sharing and developing ideas and approaches - on subjects including learning, teaching, managing, special needs, modelling - in the form of :

• a simple list of subjects, themes and ideas that you/we are working on, have tried or just know about
• a more comprehensive resource bank of documentation, ideas and strategies - perhaps some models of strategies and approaches that have been developed
• arranging workshops and conferences
• researching and modelling
• publishing books and papers
• connections and affiliations with other groups and communities

PROMOTION: eg :

• creating and publishing a chronicle of ideas and approaches
• co-ordinating articles in the press and media
• creating ‘events’ to promote and publicise our successes
• what about an NLP-based Education/Learning radio and/or television programme - or even a channel?

DIARY: helping to co-ordinate activities, including :

• who is doing what - where and when
• other (associated) activities and events
• events organised by people and organisation outside NLP
