How do you discover your real purpose in life? Im not talking about your job, your daily responsibilities, or even your long-term goals. I mean the real reason why youre here at all the very reason you exist.
If you want to discover your true purpose in life, it will help if you first empty all the limiting beliefs you had about your life's purpose, or if you even had a purpose at all!
So how can you discover your purpose in life? Well, there are many ways to do this, some of them fairly complicated. However, here is one the everyone can do. The more open you are to this process, and the more you expect it to work, the faster it WILL work for you! And even if you think it's rubbish, or a waste of time, that won't stop it working - it'll just take a little bit longer!
Heres what to do... and its important to do this alone and with no interruptions. :
- For each field below ask yourself What is my true purpose in life?
- Write whatever comes into your head. It doesnt have to be a complete sentence. A short phrase or even a couple of words will do.
- Repeat until you write an answer that profoundly moves you, maybe even makes you cry. This is your purpose.
The exercise takes 15-20 minutes to clear your head of all the clutter and the social conditioning about what you think your purpose in life is. The old answers used come from your conscious mind but when this true answer finally arrives it will have come from your unconscious, where your real wisdom lies.
You may discover a few answers that seem to give you a small emotional response:- highlight these as you go along, so you can come back to them later, because each reflects a part of your purpose, though obviously they arent complete. But do mean you're getting warm!
When you find your own unique answer to the question of why youre here, you will feel it resonate deeply inside you. The words will seem to have a special energy to you, and you will feel that energy whenever you read them.
If youre inclined to ask why this little process works, just put that question aside until after youve successfully completed it. Once youve done that, youll probably have your own answer to why it works. Most likely if you ask 10 different people why this works (people whove successfully completed it), youll get 10 different answers, all filtered through their individual belief systems, and each will contain its own reflection of truth.
If you had some really negative beliefs about you and its purpose, it may take you a few sessions doing this, but persevere... it's worth it when you discover what you're REALLY about!
Go for it now!
